The Women’s Fund recently presented Haven with a $3500 grant for their “Support Services for Recovery” program.

The Women’s Fund grant will assist in covering fees to help victims in their journey for a new life including fees for necessary licensing, funds for car repairs, food handler card fees, GED apps and applications for secondary education and much more.

HAVEN seeks to eliminate domestic violence and sexual assault across Oakland County and the surrounding communities by empowering survivors through advocacy and social change. ““Having additionally funding for us to help support the women and children as they restart their lives is a true blessing. People enter our shelter in severe crisis and it is a wonderful to see them leave the shelter having gained a sense of peace. The support of the community makes the difference,” said Beth Morrison, President and CEO of Haven.
