The Women's Fund present grant to The Rainbow Connection

$1000 grant will be used for their Special Response program

The Women’s Fund recently presented The Rainbow Connection with a $1000 grant for their Special Response program.

The Rainbow Connection grants wishes to Michigan children with life threatening or terminal illness. The Women’s Fund grant will help provide support and respite to mothers of children battling catastrophic illness including but not limited to house cleaning, transportation, groceries, assistance with bills and special needs.

“The Women’s Fund grant will help The Rainbow Connection provide support services to local families struggling with the challenges of having a child with a life threatening illness. It is a long and difficult journey through months, often years of medical treatments that ultimately take a toll on the entire family” explains Mary Grace McCarter, Executive Director of The Rainbow Connection. “We are so grateful for the funds to make life a little easier at such a difficult time.”
