1. 7-Eleven in Roseville locks doors, closes for good (macombdaily.com) — A longtime 7-Eleven at Gratiot and 13 Mile in Roseville has abruptly closed for good, with doors chained and phones disconnected despite a business license renewal in January. Corporate hasn’t explained the shutdown, though a social media post attributed to the franchisee cites persistent shoplifting and problems around the bus stop as major factors. 
2. Popular Metro Detroit Eatery Closing For New Sheetz Gas Station (patch.com) — Apple Annie’s Kitchen and Bakery on Gratiot in Roseville will permanently close June 15 to make way for a new Sheetz gas station on the former Sacred Heart church property. The longtime local favorite, part of the community since the late 1990s, is closing after owners accepted an offer and are planning for retirement. Sheetz is rapidly expanding across metro Detroit.
3. Teen pleads guilty in Roseville Applebee's carjacking and police chase case (legalnews.com) — A 16-year-old has pleaded guilty to carjacking a woman at the Applebee’s parking lot in Roseville and leading police on a chase that ended in a crash on Gratiot Avenue. He was charged as an adult and now faces 8 to 20 years in state prison, with sentencing set for July 14.
4. Roseville man bound over to circuit court in fatal crash (legalnews.com) — A Roseville resident has been ordered to stand trial after a fatal April 9 crash on Groesbeck Highway in Roseville that killed an 85-year-old driver. Prosecutors say he was speeding, allegedly intoxicated, and carrying a firearm; he now faces serious felony and misdemeanor charges with circuit court arraignment set for May 26.
