Another Major Athlete Signs On To Royal Oak Man's No-Sweat Dress Shirts
New York Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard joins Detroit Tigers catcher James McCann as brand ambassadors for suburban Detroit line.

ROYAL OAK, MI — Jeff Schattner, the suburban Detroit entrepreneur whose Lawrence Hunt startup line of performance dress shirts solves the embarrassing problem of underarm perspiration stains, has picked up another endorsement from a major league athlete — Sterling Shepard, a wide receiver for the New York Giants.
Shepard joins Detroit Tigers catcher James McCann as an official brand ambassador for the company.
The Tigers actually provided the inspiration for the shirts, which feature the same wicking material as athletic gear.
Schattner had been at an outdoor wedding in June 2013 when he had his eureka moment. It was a sticky, uncomfortable, sweat-inducing 90-degree day, and he soaked his dress shirt. What men need, he thought as he suffered in the heat that day, is a comfortable shirt that stays dry and is at the same time elegant enough for formal occasions and business meetings.

Not long after, he was at Comerica Park, watching a Detroit Tigers game on a hot sunny afternoon. When the pitcher raised his arm for the windup, Schattner was surprised by what he didn’t see.“No pit stains,” he told Patch.
The reason was moisture wicking fabric sewn into the pitcher’s jersey to pull perspiration away from his body. It’s commonly used in athletic clothing and some casual lines, but they lack the crisp firmness that well-dressed men look for in their shirts.

The shirts have been a hit, both at Schattner’s online store, which officially launched a complete line for both men and women this year.
Now, with both Shepard and McCann on board, 200 dress shirts have been donated to the Harlem Children’s Zone and the Michigan Veteran’s Foundation to help both students and veterans prepare for a new career.
The Harlem Children Zone is a non-profit organization in Harlem aimed at providing comprehensive and critical support to children and families in need. The Michigan Veteran’s Foundation is a non-profit organization in Detroit that helps homeless veterans regain stability and get back on their feet.
The patent-pending design and process is used to build the shirts with performance fabric technology and traditional 100 percent cotton fabric making the dress shirts breathable and sweat-wicking.
“Lawrence Hunt shirts are a game changer,” Shepard said in a statement. “They look sharp, have extra stretch and sweat protection, plus they feel great. I look forward to being a part of this company’s growth and am very happy we were able to give shirts to those in need this holiday season. This will certainly help to build confidence in our youth entering the workforce.”
Schattner said Shepard and McCann will play a big part in the growth of his company, and promises some major announcements for 2017.
“It’s a testament to both Sterling and James’ character to donate dress shirts for the holidays and I couldn’t ask for a better fit for our brand,” he said.
Lawrence Hunt Dress Shirts retail starting at $50 for women and $68 for men.
