Arts, Beats and Eats Raises $255,000 for Community Groups
With this year's donations, the event has raised more than $4.5 million over 18 years.

More than 60 local organizations will receive a share of more than $255,000 raised at Ford’s Arts, Beats & Eats street festival held Labor Day weekend in Royal Oak.

About 385,000 people attended the annual festival. It was the third-largest crowd in the history of the event.

“For the City of Royal Oak, the positive effects of Ford Arts, Beats & Eats goes beyond the direct economic impact as it gives festival patrons inspiration to return to relive the good times they had at the event and enjoy the restaurants and shops they discovered,” Royal Oak Mayor Jim Ellison said in a statement.
Event producer Jon Witz said that with this year’s donations, more than $4.5 million has been raised in the 18-year history of the event.
“It’s great to see the success of our community programs, and we thank all of our partners for their roles in making this happen,” he said.
