UPDATED: Police Hold Live-In Boyfriend in Royal Oak Homicide
Victim has been identified by police, who said her live-in boyfriend, a convicted felon, is being held as a suspect and on other charges.

Royal Oak police said Monday afternoon that the victim in an early morning homicide was Theresa Diamos, 50, and that her live-in boyfriend is being held as a suspect in the slaying.
He has not been identified, but police said he is a convicted felon and was arrested for the illegal possession of a firearm.

The suspect initially told neighbors and responding officers that there was an intruder; however, investigators found no evidence to support the suspect’s initial claim, police said in a statement.
The suspect has not cooperated with the investigation, police said.

Royal Oak police said in a statement at noon Monday that they’re seeking witnesses who may have information about the shooting death of a 50-year-old woman in a home in the 800 block of North Altadena.
Officers responded to the scene after receiving a 911 call from a neighbor about 2:52 a.m. Monday.
Due to the active and developing investigation, only limited information is available to be released at this time; however, the police department does not believe there is any current threat to the neighborhood.

Royal Oak police are investigating the first homicide of the year after a woman was found shot and killed inside a home in the 800 block of Altadena Avenue Monday morning.
