Calling Foodies: Royal Oak Restaurant Week Begins Friday

Twenty restaurants are offering pre-fixe lunch and dinner menus to show off downtown's great eats.

If this doesn’t whet your appetite and make your mouth water, you might be hopeless.

Restaurant Week begins Friday in Royal Oak. That means 20 of the top downtown restaurants in Royal Oak will be offering special three-course pre-fixe menus for lunch and dinner from March 28-April 6.

Prices range from $15 to $35 per person during the 10-day celebration of food sponsored by the Royal Oak Restaurant Association.

β€œAfter a fairly brutal winter we are hoping people will come out of their houses and check out the great food at any of the 22 restaurants taking part,” Restaurant Association spokeswoman Stephanie Β McIntyre told Β The Oakland Press. β€œMost restaurants will have a three-course meal depending on the location and whether it’s lunch or dinner. Some restaurants could get crowded, so it might be a good idea to call ahead for reservations.”

No tickets or passes are necessary during Restaurant Week. Just show up to any participating restaurant. And don’t forget your appetite.
