Detroit Zoo is on the Prowl for Seasonal Workers

ROYAL OAK, MI – The Detroit Zoo is hiring now for seasonal employees to fill a number of positions during peak times at the zoo, from March through December.

The DZS is seeking employees to work flexible schedules as guest relations supervisors and assistants as well as sales associates, park safety officers (security), and Summer Safari camp teachers and aides.

In addition, concessions, retail, food service, and some custodial and groundskeeping positions will be filled by Service Systems Associates (SSA), the concessionaire that provides these services to the Zoo.

Pay rates and age requirements vary by position, and candidates must be available to work weekends, evenings and holidays.

Applicants who are “smiling, energetic, friendly and enthusiastic” are preferred, according to a news release.
