It’s never too early for current 10th and 11th graders to consider their plans for their junior and senior years, including the option of attending one of Oakland Schools Technical Campuses (OSTC). Parents and students are invited to attend an open house at the Southeast Campus (Royal Oak) on Thursday, March 8 from 5-8 PM.
There’s something for everyone at OSTC, thanks to the rigorous curriculum and classes geared to all students interested in pursuing postsecondary education and/or 21st Century careers. Oakland County high school students are eligible to enroll at any OSTC at no cost to them or to their home school districts because of a countywide millage. The Open House will showcase the many academic and technical offerings and will also provide information about academies, college credit, and enrichment programs such as the Oakland County Competitive Robotics Association (OCCRA) and FIRST robotics teams. Oakland County high school students will want to stop by to learn more about training, postsecondary education and careers in:
- Biotechnology and Environmental Science
- Business, Management, Marketing and Technology
- Construction Technology
- Culinary Arts/Hospitality
- Engineering/Emerging Technologies
- Health Sciences
- Transportation Technology
- Visual Imaging Technology
The Southeast Campus open house will take place on Thursday, March 8, 2012 from 5-8 PM (5055 Delemere Street, Royal Oak, MI 48073, 248.288.4020). Interested students are encouraged to bring their parents with them.
