Farbman Group To Host 8th Annual "Christmas In January" Food Drive To Support Gleaners Community Food Bank

Southfield, Michigan-based Farbman Group, a leading full-service real estate company, announced today that it will host its eighth annual “Christmas in January” food drive benefiting Gleaners Community Food Bank of Southeastern Michigan. The food drive will take place Jan. 23-27 at 5 Farbman Group office buildings located in Detroit, Southfield, Bingham Farms and Troy.

“Each year, we are amazed by the generosity of our community and tenants during the ‘Christmas in January’ food drive,” said Andy Farbman, CEO of Farbman Group. “Giving back to our local communities is critical all year round, and this campaign has proven to be a great way to make a difference in the lives of those in need. We are extremely grateful to Gleaners and those helping us to lead the fight against hunger.”

As an added incentive to donate, each person who contributes either five cans of food or $5 during the food drive will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win an Apple iPad, complements of Farbman Group. Entry forms for the contest can be found in the management offices of the buildings.

Gleaners Food Bank recommends donating high protein canned items such as peanut butter, tuna fish and beans. There is also a great need for individually packaged healthy snacks for kids, such as fruit cups, granola bars and pretzels. Personal care items such as toothpaste, deodorant and soap will be collected as well.
