Man Tries Robbing Royal Oak Dry Cleaners, Flees From Store: Police
Royal Oak Police believe the attempted robbery was connected to Friday morning's armed robbery at Martinizing Dry Cleaners in Royal Oak.

ROYAL OAK, MI — A man attempted to rob a Royal Oak dry cleaners Tuesday afternoon, Royal Oak Police said.
Officers said the attempted robber entered the Sylvia’s Dry Cleaners located at 1407 E. Eleven Mile at 12:06 p.m. and demanded money from an employee. The man also said he was armed with a weapon.
However, the attempted robber ran out of the store before obtaining any money, police said. He was last seen running eastbound on 11 Mile Road.

Royal Oak K-9 officers conducted a search, which led them to a nearby parking lot, where officers believe the attempted robber fled in a car, police said.
Police also believe this attempted robbery was connected to Friday morning's armed robbery at Martinizing Dry Cleaners in Royal Oak.

Police described the attempted robber as a black man, about 6 feet tall and 200 pounds. Police said he was wearing a dark knit hat, brown zipped up hoodie and a black surgical face mask.
While the investigation continues, anyone with information about the robbery or the identity of the robber was asked to call Royal Oak Police Lieutenant Al Carter at 248-246-3456.
