DETROIT, MI – The temptation to feign illness may be great Monday with summer-like temperatures in the forecast.

The National Weather Service is forecasting a high of 79 under sunny skies, with a calm wind becoming west-southwest around 6 mph in the afternoon. Clouds will move in overnight, when the low should be around 44, with the wind shifting to the north after midnight.

Monday is definitely the pick day.

Tuesday: Partly sunny with a high near 60, north-northeast wind around 9 mph; mostly clear overnight, with a low around 40 and northeast wind 6 to 8 mph.
