Nature Society Fundraiser Benefits Royal Oak Parks

Tickets purchased in advance entered in a drawing for a door prize.

ROYAL OAK, MI – A trio of projects will benefit from proceeds at an upcoming Royal Oak Nature Society fundraiser.

Money raised at the group’s 11th annual fundraiser will be used for the Tenhave Woods and Cummingston Park improvement projects, and for the development of the Royal Oak Arboretum behind the Royal Oak Senior Center.

Both Tenhave Wood and Cumingston Park are nature areas that are over 20 acres in size and are heavily wooded with lined trails. They are open daily to the public from dawn to dusk.

The event, to be held from 7-10 p.m. on Friday, April 22, at the Royal Oak Elks Club, 2401 E. Fourth St. at Stephenson Highway. Tickets are $10 in advance or $12 at the door. Those who buy tickets in advance will be eligible for the first chance at winning the door prize.

The evening includes a silent and live auction, a 50/50 raffle and an award winner’s ceremony.
