Meet Nora Chapa Mendoza in person this Friday at the Lawrence Street gallery!

Legendary Hispanic/Native American Michigan artist and activist Nora Chapa Mendoza will display her latest canvases and will be present at two receptions at the Lawrence Street Gallery in Ferndale, 22670 Woodward, just south of 9 mile on the east side. The first this Friday June 6th from 6-9PM, and Thursday June 19th 6-9PM. Her works range from the plight of native peoples to strong female figures and eye grabbing abstracts, land and seascapes. Her definative brushwork was honed over decades of work and study that began with her childhood in Texas. Nora's murals and canvases can be found both in public and private collections not only in Michigan but throughout the world.
Do not miss this rare chance to meet Nora in person. There will be both music and refreshments as well as other known artists present. Her paintings will remain there throughout June.
