Legendary Hispanic/Native American -Michigan artist Nora Chapa Mendoza will be featuring her latest canvases at the St.Lawrence Gallery in Ferndale among other noted artists and will be present at two receptions, the first this Friday June 6th from 6-9pm and Thursday June 19th 6-9PM. Her works range from topical with political overtones on the plight of Native Americans and Hispanics to strong female studies and colorful mixed media abstracts in her own unique brush honed over a lifetime of of work and study. Her murals and canvases are found in public and private collections not only in Michigan but throughout the world
Do not miss this chance to meet her in person. There will be music and refreshments at both receptions and her work will be on show for the month of June.
