Royal Oak Halloween Home Tour brings the community together with a free, spooky decorated home showcase (wxyz.com) — Royal Oak neighbors can enjoy a free, self-guided Halloween Home Tour highlighting about 60 creatively decorated houses across town, all mapped out for easy exploring by bike, car, or on foot. Started six years ago by resident Kathleen Spangler, the event has grown into a beloved tradition focused on family-friendly fun and accessible, no-cost Halloween thrills for local kids and adults alike.
   

2. Trivium Announce 'Crown In The Grave' Album, Share Kurosawa-Inspired Title Track Video (rockumweb.com) — Trivium's new album "Crown In The Grave" drops November 20, the same night the band brings its heavy new tour to Royal Oak Music Theatre. Expect a darker, Kurosawa-inspired sound, big riffs, and a stacked bill with In Flames and more. If you're into metal, this is a rare chance to see a major package tour right in downtown Royal Oak.
   

3. Attorneys appointed by governor to state boards and commissions (legalnews.com) — Royal Oak resident Ian Hickman has been appointed to the Michigan Board of Nursing as a public member, with a term running through June 2030. His selection is part of a broader round of appointments by Governor Gretchen Whitmer to key state boards and commissions that oversee child welfare, taxes, health professions, and law enforcement standards across Michigan.
   

4. Watch: Orbit Culture Goes Hard In Video For Updated "The Path I Walk" (metalinjection.net) — Metal band Orbit Culture is re-releasing a deluxe version of their album and has unveiled a new, more orchestral take on "The Path I Walk" featuring cellist Tina Guo. As part of their upcoming U.S. tour with Trivium, In Flames, and Frozen Soul, they'll bring the show to Royal Oak Music Theatre on November 20, giving local fans a chance to hear the updated track live.
