Police Investigating Fatal Crash In Royal Oak

Police believe a man had a medical episode before crashing his pickup truck through a Royal Oak apartment complex.

ROYAL OAK, MI — Police are investigating a Thursday morning fatal crash that left one person dead in Royal Oak.

Police believe a man had a medical episode before crashing his pickup truck through an apartment complex at Coolidge Highway and Webster Road.

Police said the man was killed in the crash. There were no other injuries in the crash, police said.

Coolidge Highway was closed north of 12 Mile Road to Warwick Road, while police investigated the crash. The road has since reopened.

No further details were immediately released by police.
