I took my first tour of the Royal Oak Historical Society. The museum is located at 1411 W. Webster, in the former Northwood fire station. The current exhibit is "Royal Oak Schools". Learn about the first school in Royal Oak as well as former schools that were throughout the city. The fire station itself is a gem, you can see how the fireman lived and worked at the station. The museum is opened 1-4 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. This museum is a treasure in our own back yard. Learn the rich history of the city you live in. YOU'VE GOTTA SEE IT!
