Royal Oak Owner Shot At After 2 Men Try To Steal His Car: Police
The shooting happened after two men tried to steal a Dodge Challenger from a Royal Oak parking lot Saturday afternoon.
ROYAL OAK, MI — The owner of a Dodge Challenger Hellcat was shot at Saturday after two men tried to steal the car from a Royal Oak parking lot, Royal Oak Police said.
Officers said the two men approached the car that was parked in the Royal Express Coney Island parking lot, located at 1805 E. Eleven Mile Rd on Saturday at 10:49 a.m.
The two men then broke the car's window and ran away after failing to steal the car, police said.

However, the two men returned to the car minutes later, and when the owner confronted them, one of the men fired a shot at him, police said.
The shot missed the owner and no one was injured in the shooting, police said. The restaurant was not open at the time, and the owner of the car along with two delivery drivers were the only ones at the restaurant during the shooting.

The two men then drove away in a Black Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT with Ohio plates on eastbound Eleven Mile Road. The Jeep is reported stolen out of Ohio, police said.
Police described one man as a black male with a thin build wearing all black. The other man was described by police as a black male with braids, light mustache and a small beard. Police believe both men are in their early to mid-twenties.
