ROYAL OAK, MI — Royal Oak Police Chief Corrigan O'Donahue is "contemplating retirement," according to a report from The Daily Tribune, citing Royal Oak City Manger on Paul Brake on Thursday.

Rumors speculated on social media that O'Donahue had been fired or forced out of his job, but Brake told the Tribute he wouldn't address those rumors.

"The rumor mill appears to be pretty active on social media," Brake said. "We’re not responding to that."
