Special Needs Student Alleges Rape in School Bathroom
Southfield police and the school district are looking into allegations boy raped classmate, then shared images of the assault.

A Southfield attorney says a 15-year-old special needs student was raped in a high school bathroom last month by a classmate, who shared recorded images of the alleged assault with other students.
David Christensen, the girl’s attorney, told the Detroit Free Press that some of the images made their way back to the teen. Christiansen said the boy and girl were riding on a bus from the Southfield Regional Academic Campus, where they both attend school, to Southfield High School on Sept. 28.

Jacqueline Robinson, a spokeswoman for the school district, said administrators have not seen video evidence or any other evidence substantiating the claim.
“They entered the building unauthorized at the end of the school day,” Robinson told the Free Press. “We do not know how they got in the building. What happened from that point on is still being investigated.”
Southfield police declined to give details about their investigation.
