Suspects Accused of Taking 1-Year-Old to Robbery Arraigned

Delavonta Larry and Raymond Mattison, both of Detroit, were arraigned on bank robbery charges in 44th District Court.

ROYAL OAK, MI — Two men accused of robbing a Royal Oak credit union last week while a 1-year-old waited with one of them in the getaway car were arraigned on bank robbery charges Saturday.

Delavonta Larry and Raymond Mattison, both of Detroit, were arraigned befoe Circuit Court Magistrate Judith Holtz on one count each of conspiracy to commit bank robbery one count of bank robbery.

Larry’s bond was set at $100,000, cash or 10 percent surety. Mattison’s bond was set at $250,000 cash, no 10 percent surety. Larry doesn’t have any prior convictions, the police department said, but Mattison is currently on probation for receiving and concealing stolen property valued at beween $200 and $1,000.

Their next court date is scheduled for 9 a.m. July 25 before the preiding jude of 44th District Court.

Police said one of the men entered the Community Choice Credit Union, 1709 Crooks Road, about 11:50 a.m. Thursday, July 14, and passed a note to a telle
r demanding money.

After receiving the undisclosed amount of money, he ran to a nearby vehicle driven by the second suspect and they fled the area. The driver was arrested after the other suspect abandoned the vehicle, and the toddler was taken into protective custody.



The second suspect was captured on Red Run Golf Course.
