African Caracal 'Bam, Bam' Caught In Oakland County: VIDEO

ROYAL OAK, MI — The large African caracal that escaped from its owner in Oakland County Wednesday was found lying near a garage on Altadena Avenue Wednesday night.

The cat named "Bam, Bam" was safely rescued just a few blocks from its home on E. Lasalle Street, near 13 Mile and Rochester roads around 11:00 p.m.

A social media video posted by "South Lyon Murphy Lost Animal Recovery" showed the captured cat.

The cats have escaped three times, police said.

Several cats broke out Wednesday, where two of them were found in an "unsecured enclosure." Officers found a third in the area, and it was returned home with help of the owner.

Oakland County residents were warned not to interact with the cat and were advised to keep small pets indoors, while authorities continued searching for the cat.
