Will Rain Break for Veterans Day? Forecast

By the end of the week, Metro Detroit could see snowflakes.

Off-and-on rain should be off for the most part during Veterans Day events Wednesday, but rain is expected to settle into the area late Wednesday night.

If you’re planning to attend an outdoor event, the sun should be shining and temperatures should be around 55 degrees, seasonal for this time of year in Metro Detroit, AccuWeather meteorologist Renee Duff said.

Cloudy skies and scattered showers are expected to remain in the area Thursday, Duff said.

By Friday, Metro Detroit could see snowflakes, according to the National Weather Service. Precipitation chances are 30 percent, according to the NWS, and breezy conditions could make the 46-degree high feel colder.

Sunshine should return to Metro Detroit by Saturday and remain through the start of the work week, according to the NWS.
