2014 Family Reading and Science Program Workshop 2: Meals with Megafauna: Sabertooth Cats, Dire Wolves, Mastodons and Man. 

The giant mammals of the ice age had to worry not only about the climate but a new contender for apex predator status--humans. In this workshop we will examine the rise and fall of the megafauna and humans' emerging role as the apex predators. Funded in part by Toyota USA Foundation. Presented by University of Michigan Museum of Natural Historywww.ummnh.org. For children ages 6-11. Registration begins Feb. 3. Call the youth department for more details at 734-429-5450.
