Local Sponsors Make March Madness Fundraiser for Liberty Club a Huge Success

Thanks go out to the local sponsors who donated to the 1st March Madness event, held March 22nd at First United Methodist Church of Saline. Generous contributions came from Busch's Fresh Food Market, Mickey's Dairy Twist of Saline, Chelsea Lumber, Gordon Food Service, Jon Friendholm of Dawn Foods, and Louis Degraff of Degraf Art and Design.  29 teams played in our 3-on-3 basketball tournament, ranging in age from 8 yrs old to 60 yrs old,  We watched the Men's NCAA Basketball tournament live on 2 screens, while enjoying delicious stadium style refreshments , sold from concession stands decorated in college themed fun. And there was a silent auction of college themed items. We raised $2,000 for local Liberty Club,  a day program for adults with disabilities, living, working, and serving in our community.
