Oxygen Plus Breathes New Life Into Downtown Saline

The Saline-based medical supply business has moved to a more visible location.

Oxygen Plus, formerly located at 401 N. Ann Arbor St., has relocated to 98 N. Ann Arbor St. in downtown Saline.

Owner Theresa Likert said the medical supply company, part of Saline’s business community for four years, is already seeing new business coming in the door since its relocation.

“We like it down here,” said Likert. “It is a more welcome environment and gives us more exposure. We’ve had people coming in who didn’t even know we were down the street."

Centrally located right off the main four corners of town, the business is exposed to more foot traffic.

Likert said Oxygen Plus is known for its one-on-one service with customers. She said the company takes care of each customer to make sure they receive exactly what they need to make life a little easier, whether they need scooters, wheel chairs, diabetic test strips, compression stockings, or, as the business name indicates, oxygen. The business is an approved provider for Medicare and Medicaid and works with many other insurers.

The new space downtown is open and inviting. Likert said they are still making adjustments to their layout. The Women’s Boutique, an important part of their business catering to people fighting cancer, will have a comfortable fitting room and be an more positive and private experience for women shopping for wigs and mastectomy supplies.

Since the relocation, Likert has notices a bump in retail sales.

“We are selling a bit more cash and carry type items,” she said.

Likert is excited about the extra space, which gives her the opportunity to carry more lift chairs and scooters.

“We are expanding our mobility lines,” she said. “We really want to be able to help people and their quality of life.”

Likert invites people to stop in and say hello, to see what her business has to offer, or how it can make a difference in the someone‘s life. For more information about Oxygen Plus or their Women’s Boutique, call 734-429-7444 or visit the website at www.oxygenplusmichigan.com.
