'Passion for Fashion' Show to Outfit the Everyday Woman, Benefit Charity
Tickets are still available to attend this fun and fashion-forward event.
The “Passion for Fashion” fashion show and benefit will take place at, 117 S. Ann Arbor St. in downtown Saline, from 7-9 p.m. Thursday.
Advanced tickets are available for $5 at The Bling Thing, and the Saline Area Chamber of Commerce. Tickets at the door will be $7. The first 25 in attendance will receive a gift bag.
Anne Brandon, owner of the Bling Thing, will showcase some of her clothing and accessories during the show.
“The idea is for women to know that beauty comes from within,” said Brandon, who said the show is aimed at everyday women, not supermodels.

Models for the show range in age from 15 to 75 and will showcase swimwear, resort wear, jackets, leggings and even lightweight scarves perfect for summer.
Jill Fair, owner of New Hairizon Salon, is coordinating the event with Brandon. She hopes women from the community will come out for an evening of fun.
“Come enjoy a night of summer fashion, learn a few new tricks to turn your daywear into fun and fashionable eveningwear,” said Fair.
Fair and Jamie Koepfle, also from New Hairizon, will be responsible for all hair and makeup for the models. Megan Durrett will do nails.
Partial proceeds from the event will go toward Dress For Success Michigan, a nonprofit organization that promotes the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life. The organization has suited more than half a million women worldwide since 1997, 12,000 of them for job interview attire. Dress For Success representative Cheryl Kriendler will speak at the event.
Brandon expressed the reasoning behind the show.
“There is so much need,” she said. “Jill (Fair) and I believe very strongly in helping the people around us.”
