Saline Faith, Community Leaders Work to Tackle Housing Crisis (thesuntimesnews.com) — Local faith, school, city, police, and social service leaders in Saline are joining forces to confront hidden homelessness and a shortage of affordable housing, highlighted at a Sept. 13 panel at First Presbyterian Church of Saline. Speakers described students couch-surfing, residents priced into hotels, and policy ideas like denser housing, while inviting community members to connect with the church's Uncommon Grace program for ongoing involvement.
   

3. Car Crash Damages Saline-owned Land (thesuntimesnews.com) — City-owned Davenport Curtiss Mansion property in Saline suffered fence and tree damage after a Sept. 12 single‑vehicle crash near Old Creek Drive and Michigan Avenue. Police say the Tecumseh driver was hospitalized and is under investigation for possible operating while intoxicated, with the city planning to pursue insurance and potential restitution for the historic site.
   

4. Michigan High School Football Poll 9/15/26 (upnorthlive.com) — Saline High School's football team is ranked fifth in Michigan's Division 1 poll with a 3‑0 record, putting the Hornets among the state's top programs early in the season. The statewide rankings also show how Saline stacks up against powerhouses like Detroit Catholic Central, Cass Tech, and East Kentwood as conference play heats up.
