Road Construction This Weekend in Southeast Michigan

The following construction activities are scheduled for the weekend beginning Friday, Sept. 27, and ending Monday, Sept. 30. Some of this work may be postponed due to inclement weather or any unforeseen circumstances.

I-275:
In Oakland County, northbound I-275 will have a right-lane closure from I-96/M-14 to 5 Mile Road starting at 9 p.m. on Friday until 5 a.m. on Monday for concrete repairs.

In Oakland County, northbound and southbound I-275 will have double-lane closures, as well as a traffic shift, between Van Born and US-12 (Michigan Avenue) from 6 a.m. on Saturday until 6 p.m. on Sunday for work on the railroad bridge.

I-75:
In Oakland County, northbound I-75 will have intermittent single-lane closures from 14 Mile Road to Coolidge Highway from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday for maintenance.

In Oakland County, northbound I-75 will have a left-lane closure from M-10 (Lodge Freeway) to M-1 (Woodward Avenue) from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturday for road work.

In Monroe County, northbound I-75 will have double lane-closures from Luna Pier Road to South Otter Creek Road starting at 9 a.m. on Friday until 6 a.m. on Monday for pavement repairs.

I-94:
In Macomb County, westbound I-94 will have a moving left-lane closure from 9 Mile Road to 8 Mile Road from on Saturday at 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. for maintenance.

In Macomb County, eastbound I-94 from 8 Mile Road to 9 Mile Road there is a moving left lane closure from  10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday for maintenance.

In Macomb County, eastbound I-94 will have a moving left-lane closure between Harper Avenue and Joy Road from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday for maintenance.

In Macomb County, westbound I-94 will have a moving left-lane closure from Joy Road to Harper Avenue from 6 - 10 a.m. on Saturday at for maintenance.

In Wayne County, eastbound I-94 will have a right-lane closure over the M-39 interchange at 10 p.m. on Friday until 5 a.m. on Monday for concrete patching. In addition, the eastbound I-94 ramp to northbound M-39 will be closed during the same time.

In Wayne County, westbound I-94 will have only the right lane open over the M-39 interchange at 10 p.m. on Friday until5 a.m. on Monday for concrete patching.

In Wayne County, eastbound and westbound I-94 will have single-lane closures from Monroe Street to Beech Daly Road from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday for bridge work.

In Macomb County, eastbound and westbound I-94 will have double-lane closures between Masonic Avenue and 11 Mile Road starting at 10 p.m. on Friday until 5 a.m. on Monday for reconstruction.

I-96:
In Oakland County, westbound I-96 from Novi Road to the county line will have double-lane closures nightly from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. Friday through Sunday for road work.

M-14:
In Wayne County, the eastbound M-14 ramp to northbound I-275 is closed at 9 p.m. on Friday until at 5 a.m. on Monday for concrete patching.

M-39 (Southfield Freeway):
In Wayne County, the northbound M-39 ramp to westbound I-94 will be closed 10 p.m. on Friday until 5 a.m. on Monday for concrete patching.

M-53:
In Macomb County, northbound and southbound M-53  (Van Dyke Avenue) will have double-lane closures between M-102 (8 Mile Road) and Helen Street from 5 a.m. on Saturday until 5 a.m. on Monday for reconstruction.

M-59 (Hall Road):
In Macomb County, eastbound M-59 (Hall Road) will have double-lane closures from Hayes Road to Garfield Road nightly 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Saturday until Tuesday for maintenance.

Beginning the week of Monday, Sept. 23:

I-75:
In Monroe County, northbound I-75 will have a right-lane closure at Newport Road (Exit 21) on Tuesday, Oct. 1, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. for environmental cleanup.

I-94:
In St. Clair County, eastbound and westbound I-94 will have single-lane closures between Range Road and Lapeer Road beginning Monday, Sept. 30, at 7 a.m., until the end of November for shoulder and crossover reconstruction.

I-96:
In Wayne County, the southbound I-275 ramp to 6 Mile Road will have a single-lane closure until mid-November for widening.

I-696: 
In Oakland County, westbound I-696 at Farmington Road will have a right-lane closure daily from 9 a.m. until  3 p.m. Monday and Tuesday for sign work.

I-69:
In Saint Clair County, the eastbound I-94 ramp to westbound I-69 will be closed Wednesday at 7 a.m. and will remain closed until the beginning of Dec. for reconstruction.

In Saint Clair County, westbound I-69 will have one lane closed from Lapeer Road to Range Road beginning Monday at 7 a.m. and until the end of Nov. for shoulder and crossover reconstruction.

I-69 (Business Loop):
In St. Clair County, the eastbound I-94 ramp to eastbound I-69 Business Loop will be closed Wednesday at 7 a.m. and remain closed until the end of Nov. for construction.

M-1 (Woodward Avenue):
In Oakland County, northbound M-1 (Woodward Avenue) will have daily intermittent closures between Burnham Road and Glenwood Road until 3 p.m. on Wednesday for maintenance.

In Oakland County, northbound M-1 (Woodward Avenue) will have a right-lane closure between Webster and Coolidge Highway daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Wednesday for construction.

In Oakland County, southbound M-1 (Woodward Avenue) will have a right-lane closure just south of South Boulevard daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. until mid-Oct. for construction.

M-5 (Grand River Avenue):
In Wayne County, eastbound M-5 (Grand River Avenue) will have a right-lane closure between Rutland and Woodmont (just east of Southfield) from 9 a.m. on Tuesday until 3 p.m. on Friday for utility work.

M-5:
In Oakland County, northbound and southbound M-5 will have alternating lane closures from I-275 to M-5  nightly from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Monday through Wednesday for construction.

M-53:
In Macomb County, northbound and southbound M-53 (Van Dyke Avenue) will have single-lane closures between M-102 (8 Mile Road) and Helen Street beginning at 5 a.m. on Monday until 5 p.m. on Friday for reconstruction.

14 Mile Road:
In Macomb County, eastbound 14 Mile Road will have double-lane closures at M-97 (Groesbeck Highway) beginning at 2 a.m. on Monday until 8 p.m. on Friday for road work.

36 Mile Road:
In Macomb County, eastbound and westbound 36 Mile Road will continue to be closed at M-53 through Thursday at 6 p.m. for utility work.

8 Mile (M-102) Service Drive:
In Wayne County, the 8 Mile (M-102) Service Drive over I-75 will continue to be closed until Friday at 4 p.m. for bridge work.
