• Man stole from a Sault business multiple times: police (sootoday.com) — Sault Ste. Marie Police have charged a 33-year-old man after a series of alleged thefts and a robbery at a business on Churchill Boulevard, where a security guard was reportedly threatened. Officers arrested the suspect early June 2, and he now faces robbery, multiple theft, and compliance-related charges while remaining innocent until proven guilty in court.
   

• 'It's about time': Arkells will rock the Sault this week (sootoday.com) — Arkells are playing a rare show at The Machine Shop in Sault Ste. Marie tomorrow night, their first local performance in 13 years. The Juno-winning rock band promises an energetic set spanning their catalogue, with limited tickets still available for fans eager to see them up close.
   

• MDOT to widen M-28 shoulders in Chippewa County (9and10news.com) — Drivers in and around Sault Ste. Marie should prepare for lane closures and width restrictions on M-28 this summer as MDOT spends $2.9 million to widen shoulders between M-221 and I-75. Work starts Monday, June 8 and runs through late August, resurfacing the I-75 carpool lot and aiming to boost safety while supporting about 25 jobs.
