• DNR to reduce walk-in hours at Sault Customer Service Center (sooeveningnews.com) — If you rely on the DNR’s Sault Ste. Marie Customer Service Center, walk-in hours will shrink to Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. starting July 1. Officials say low in-person traffic and staffing limits prompted the change, but they still encourage residents to come in for help with licenses, regulations and other services.
   

• Engineer's Day, International Bridge Walk coming to Sault June 26-27 (sooeveningnews.com) — Engineers Day weekend is bringing free, family-friendly activities to downtown Sault Ste. Marie June 26-27, centered on the Soo Locks and nearby parks. This year’s top Hutchinson Award went to pediatrician Dr. Jonathan DellaVedova, recognized for his commitment to providing high-quality children’s care close to home and advocating for equitable access to health services.
