Are small dogs difficult to potty train?

People ask me this all the time. Big, small, fuzzy, short or tall. Dogs all learn the same way. Really, they do! The same way that you would teach a Great Dane to go potty outside, is just the same way you would teach a Miniature Poodle. Small dogs can follow the rules too, I think we just tend to maybe let the rules “slide” a bit more with the “littles!” Try being consistent and treating your little one the same way you would any other and I think you will be pleasantly surprised. Small dogs are quite smart and deserve the credit! It just might take them a little longer to get to the door, that’s all!
