Dinner Theater at Stevenson

Stevenson High School is holding a dinner theater presentation of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee on Wednesday, Feb. 2, at the school, 39701 Dodge Park Road, Sterling Heights.

The Twenty-Fifth Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is a one-act musical comedy that centers around a fictional spelling bee, filled with quirky characters.

The musical is Stevenson's entry this year in the Michigan Interscholastic Forensic Association's one-act play festival. Schools from across the state will compete by setting up their stage, performing a musical, and taking it down in within a set time.

The district round of the MIFA festival will be held Jan. 28 at Stevenson High School.

Tickets for the performance can be purchased at the door and are $10 for the show and pasta dinner, or $5 for the show only. The pasta dinner begins at 6 pm. The performance is scheduled for 7 pm and will last approximately 45 minutes.
