Halloween Rings in Early for Trunk or Treaters

Shelby Parks & Recreation is holding its 3rd Annual Trunk or Treat on Oct. 29. Event will be held outdoors, rain or shine, at Cherry Creek.

Ghoulish games and a boo-rific bouncer -- courtesy of DTE Energy -- are planned.

Each family with participating children must also bring treats to pass from the trunk of their vehicle – decorating trunks is encouraged, but optional. A prize will be awarded for "best decorated trunk."

Cherry Creek will have a warming tent set up, along with hot dogs, snacks and beverages for purchase.

Event is free and open to Shelby and Utica residents.
