History came to life recently at Ebeling Elementary.
Fifth-grade students recently held a "wax museum" where they portrayed famous historical figures.
Students were required to read a biography of a person of historical significance and create a characterization of that person.
Students dressed as their historical figure and created a visual display of their research as the entire school and their parents walked through to see the “wax figures” on display.
There was a nominal fee to bring the wax figures to life. Once a donation was made, the students gave a speech highlighting their person’s life and contributions to history.
All of the money donated is collected and given to the school’s Media Center to order more biographies for the school library.
