
Utica senior bowler Anthony Mazza has been on fire this year for the Chieftains.
He led the Macomb Area Conference Red Division with an average of 229 and bowled the league-high, two-game series of 545. He is the Singles Regional Champion.
Mazza led his team to an undefeated season of 10-0 and to a big win at the Romeo Invitational. His sanctioned high game is 289; he’s had a 300 game in practice. His high three-game series is 770.

“Anthony is a highly competitive, motivated and enthusiastic athlete,” Utica varsity bowling coach John Mazza said. “He has matured because of his understanding of commitment and focus. His great understanding of the game and his versatility and shot-making has made him a great asset to our team as well as in his own personal accomplishments.”
“I can definitely see Anthony having success with the sport of bowling well after high school,” said Mazza.

Anthony – The newest song on my ipod is H.A.M. by Jay Z.
2. Who is your favorite teacher at Utica and why?
Anthony – My favorite teacher is Mr. Moehlig because he is an inspiring coach.
3. Where is your favorite vacation spot?
Anthony – My favorite vacation spot is the Bahamas because I went there with my family and I am very excited to go back there this April with my buddies.
4. Please list three words that best describe you?
Anthony – Athletic, laid-back, nice
5. What are your plans after graduation?
Anthony – At this point, my plan is to attend Macomb Community College until I figure out what I am going to do next.
