Peter J. Lucido, candidate for State Representative in District 36, representing the Townships of Shelby, Washington, Bruce and the Village of Romeo, will be hosting a "Politics with Pete" town hall meeting on the controversial Common Core educational standards.
On Wednesday, May 14, 2014 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Capital Banquet Center located at 12350 31 Mile Road in Washington Township, the next "Politics with Pete" town hall meeting will be had where all residents of the 36th district are encouraged to come discuss the hotly-debated Common Core educational standards with Peter J. Lucido and a panel of educational specialists.
"On the campaign trail I have run into many concerned parents and students who have questions about the Common Core standards," said Peter J. Lucido, "I believe a vigorous debate on these standards and what they could mean for our students should be had, and I am proud to facilitate it."
