The City of Utica will have the following roads closed for the city's Riverwalk Festival.   Auburn Rd from Utica Rd to the Clinton River Bridge will be closed beginning June 16th at 6:00 PM   The remainder of Auburn Rd from the Clinton River Bridge to Van Dyke will be closed starting June19th at 3:00 PM   Cass Ave from M59 (Hall Rd) to Summers will be closed starting June 19th at 3:00 PM   All roads will re-open at 11:00 PM on June 22nd

Oakland Youth Orchestras (OYO) proudly presents its Spring Concert, the final concert of OYO’s 51st season. This culminating performance features all four OYO ensembles and reflects the artistic growth, dedication, and musical excellence fostered throughout the season.
The program opens with the Studio String Orchestra, offering a varied selection that includes scenes from Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake, In Paradisum from Fauré’s Requiem in D Minor, and music from The Incredibles 2. The String Orchestra follows with an expressive and stylistically diverse program featuring Soon Hee Newbold’s The Iliad, Elgar’s Nimrod variation, Copland’s Hoedown, and Blaze of Metal by Bryan Sanguinito.
The Philharmonia Orchestra highlights the vitality of the Big Band tradition with selections such as Tico‑Tico, Irving Fine’s Blue Towers, classic Big Band arrangements by Calvin Custer, and a medley of works by Duke Ellington. The evening concludes with the Symphony Orchestra, presenting a vibrant program that includes Gershwin’s Cuban Overture, selections from Bizet’s Carmen Suites, and Chabrier’s España.
Together, these performances showcase a broad spectrum of orchestral repertoire and underscore OYO’s commitment to musical education, artistic excellence, and community enrichment.
