Strike Up The Band!

Excitement is in the air! The Utica High School Marching Band is stepping out in fun filled appearances this fall.

The Utica High School (UHS) Marching Band, under the direction of Michael Sauer, can’t wait to share their 2014 half time show!!!

“WE ARE YOUNG” is a sight & sound spectacular featuring music from current student life time’s (1998 to present day). This year’s show is a unique and spirited line up of modern music sure to please Chieftain Fans!

The UHS Marching Band will perform this fun and spirited routine at all Utica home football games: 9/5, 9/26 (Homecoming), 10/17 & 10/24. Utica home games are played on Swinehart Field at 47255 Shelby Rd., Shelby Township, MI. Just north of 21 Mile across from Utica High School. Game time is 7 pm, but you will want to arrive early to get good seats and experience the band’s energetic march to the field. Driven by pride and led with enthusiasm the UHS Marching Band is a closely knit and dedicated group of student musicians eager to entertain the community they care so much about.

In addition to football games, the UHS Marching Band will also be performing in the UCS Band-A-Rama on Sunday, October 5 at Swinehart Field. Show time is 7 pm. This family favorite event showcases all four high school marching bands within Utica Community Schools.


Keep an eye out also for the UHS Marching Band in the Richmond Parade on September 7 and the Mt. Clemens Holiday Parade on November 28. Be sure to mark your calendars now because you won’t want to miss a beat of these talented young musicians.
