Details regarding a recent contract offer valued at $20.3 million dollars in new costs are being shared with the public as part of an informational community website regarding negotiations with the Utica Education Association.
The district is committed to finding a financially responsible agreement and a compensation package that is sustainable for the school districts long term future.
Since the proposal was rejected, the parties remain in mediation and continue working toward a successor agreement.

Highlights of the proposal detailed on the website are:
- The contract offer was for three years, extending through 2021-2022 school year.
- All teachers would have received increased compensation as part of the offer. The website features three examples of how this increased compensation would have impacted teacher wages, depending on their placement on the salary schedule.
- Benefit packages would have remained unchanged and currently represents an additional $61 million in annual operating costs, including retirement and FICA.
