Oakland County woman accused of trafficking victim into prostitution (clickondetroit.com) — Authorities say a human trafficking investigation tied to prostitution activity has included locations in Southfield, along with Madison Heights, Royal Oak, and Warren. A Madison Heights woman faces multiple felony charges and a child abuse misdemeanor, and police are still seeking additional potential victims or witnesses, urging anyone with information to contact investigators.
   

3. Sewa Detroit hosts remembrance ceremony for 25th anniversary of 9/11 (candgnews.com) — Southfield residents and officials gathered Sept. 12 at the Parks and Recreation Building on Evergreen Road for Sewa Detroit’s 9/11 remembrance ceremony and day of service. Speakers including Mayor Kenson Siver, the police chief, and fire chief reflected on national tragedy, local resilience, and unity, while volunteers prepared sandwiches for Grace Centers of Hope to support neighbors in need.
   

4. Southfield 2024 non-profits ranked by total revenue (seoaklandnews.com) — Southfield’s nonprofit sector generated more than $569 million in reported 2024 revenue, with 171 organizations filing IRS Form 990 data. Driver crashes through Ford warehouse gate while fleeing hit-and-run (wtol.com) — A 24-year-old Southfield-area man is accused of fleeing a hit-and-run on I-75 and then crashing through a locked security gate at Ford’s River Raisin Warehouse in Monroe. Police say no one was injured, but the gate and vehicle were heavily damaged, and officers are pursuing a reckless driving charge along with multiple citations.
