• Food trucks are mostly off-limits in this Metro Detroit city. That could change (mlive.com) — Southgate officials are rethinking strict rules that largely keep food trucks from operating outside special districts or events, and could eventually draft a new ordinance. City council members are weighing how to support mobile food entrepreneurs while protecting brick‑and‑mortar restaurants, and may send the issue to the Planning Commission after gathering examples from other Downriver communities.
