1. 50,000 gallon sewage spill prompts no contact advisory for Lloyd's Bayou Creek (fox17online.com) — A 50,000-gallon sewage spill has triggered a No Body Contact Advisory for the section of Lloyd’s Bayou Creek in Spring Lake between the North Bank Trail and the M-104 overpass. Residents and pets should avoid the water entirely while health officials test until bacteria levels are safe, and anyone exposed is urged to wash thoroughly and watch for illness symptoms. 
2. ‘Not safe to pass': Spring Lake trail closed after collapse (woodtv.com) — A key stretch of the North Bank Trail in Spring Lake Township is closed for at least 60 days after a land bridge collapsed and caused a 50,000-gallon sewer overflow. Residents near Lloyds Bayou are urged to avoid standing or affected surface water, while emergency repairs and a sewer bypass are underway and trail users are detoured to the State Road path.
3. Traverse City man facing 10 charges after two Ottawa County chases in stolen truck (wwmt.com) — A stolen-truck chase through the village of Spring Lake ended with multiple crashes, including one that involved a man from Spring Lake, but fortunately no injuries. Deputies say a Traverse City man is now jailed on 10 charges and a $50,000 bond after allegedly fleeing through local streets, ramming patrol cars, and being arrested when the truck finally broke down.
4. Mona Shores cruises by Muskegon twice in OK-Green softball doubleheader (localsportsjournal.com) — Mona Shores’ softball team dominated Muskegon in a doubleheader, winning both games 17-0 and getting a perfect game in the opener. The Sailors, now 15-7, are next set to face Spring Lake on Thursday, giving local fans a chance to see how the Lakers stack up against a hot opponent.
