In Photos: Assumption Hosts Family Art Day
Families spent Saturday using a variety of skills, techniques and tools to create works of art works for their homes and Assumption Nursery School and Toddler Center.
Students and staff at and Toddler Center spent their Saturday painting, sculpting and creating hand-made projects during the annual Family Art Day.
According to Anne Chilingirian, director of Assumption Nursery School, the event allowed families were able to see first-hand the importance art plays in:
- sensory perception,
- providing the opportunity to represent and symbolize experiences,
- offering children the chance to experiment, create and build,
- strengthens kids’ ability to think and make decisions,
- helps children make sense of the world around them.
