Clinton Township Student Charged With Bringing Gun To School: Police
Police did not say what prompted the student to bring the gun to school.
CLINTON TOWNSHIP, MI — A 15-year-old student faces charges after police said the juvenile brought a gun to Chippewa Valley High School on Friday.
The Macomb County Prosecutors Office charged the student with carrying a concealed weapon, receiving and concealing a stolen firearm and possession of a dangerous weapon on school grounds, police said.
The student was placed in the Macomb County Juvenile Justice Center, police said.

Chippewa Valley High School was placed under lockdown Friday morning after a parent and student alerted school officials that another student brought a gun to the school, police said.
Police the found the gun during a preliminary investigation and arrested the student without incident, police said. There were no injuries reported by officials related to the high school's lockdown.
