Come on board!  You don't have to speak Spanish to feel these rhythms sprinkled with a taste of todays English pop hits to wake up your soul.

Latin Percussionist/DJ/Producer Gregorio Diloné, will be your musical host. Take a musical-tour with us as he plays his congas & timabale drums along to some of his favorite tune selections from a period long ago - when the Latin music craze first swept the states- to today's current dance hits...including Merengue, Bachatas, Cumbias and Reggaton.

Greg remarks, “I spent many summers in New York and the Dominican Republic as a child; where my Father would take me back stage to meet some of the islands' top musician friends of his after the shows. The scene was ELECTRIC!  Today, along with the lessons he taught me, I play his percussion instruments and vast record collection to remember him by. Keeping his musical love affair alive takes me back to the good old days we shared playing music together. I wish everyone can enjoy the ride... I definitely will be.”

Greg Diloné will be showcasing his musical pursuits every Thursday with us here at Rojo’s. Amongst playing and recording with many renowned local artists including: Tim Diaz, Jody Raffoul, Dal Bouey and Mitch Albom to name a few, he is currently the lead conga drummer (Conguero) in Detroit’s own award winning 12-piece Salsa band called GRUPO SALVAJE (translated into English as THE WILD BAND). With this new joint-venture of SALSA SOUNDS at Rojo’s, we can expect to see the GRUPO SALVAJE band here soon - so stay tuned!
