Important Back to School Dates

The final days of summer will soon give way to a new school year. But before classes start, local schools in St. Clair Shores have some important orientation events for families.

These school events include:

The first day of school for students is Tuesday, Sept. 6.

• 8 a.m. - noon, Tuesday, Aug. 30, registration for ninth-grade students and new students to the district.

• Noon - 4 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31, schedule pickup for sixth-grade students.
• 9 a.m. - 3p.m. Thursday, Sept. 1, schedule pickup for seventh- and eighth-grade students. 

First day of school Tuesday, Sept. 6.

• 9 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30, freshmen orientation and BBQ.

South Lake Schools

First day of school Tuesday, Sept. 6.

• 8 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, Aug 30, freshmen orientation and registration
• 8:30 - 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 30, make up registration for grades 10 - 12.

Catholic School

First day of school Wednesday, Aug. 31.

• 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31, new family orientation.

First day of school Tuesday, Sept. 6.

• 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Aug 30, mentor family night for new families.
• 9 a.m. Wednesday, Aug 31, preschool information meeting for 3-year-olds, and 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31, for 4-year-olds.
