Lake Shore Boys Soccer Team's Run Comes to an End
The Shorians' strong season came to an end Friday when they lost to the Andover Barons, 2-0, in the regional championship game.
The crowd, all two busloads of students plus countless parents, fans and grandparents, screamed mightily while sitting under blankets in the 40-degree temperatures Friday, but it was to no avail.
The Shorians, after a winning season and run in the postseason that included a , ended their year with a 2-0 loss in the to Bloomfield Andover. Their final record for 2011 is 5-3-2.
Samuel Ambe's parents, Virginia and Samuel, came to see their freshman son play. Giles and Lindie Lanier came to support grandson Austin Lipscomb Jr.
