Lakeview Golfer to Play for Wayne State
Lakeview senior Danny Schwarzwalder has signed a letter of intent to golf for Wayne State University.

When Danny Schwarzwalder graduates from next month, he will be trading in his silver and blue Huskies team colors for Wayne State's green and yellow.
Schwarzwalder, 18, recently signed a letter of intent to play for Wayne State following his successful high school career.
"Wayne State started recruiting the summer before my senior year," Schwarzwalder said. "It was a good feeling."

Schwarzwalder has been playing golf since he was nearly 8 years old, and has played on his entire high school career. For the past three years the St. Clair Shores resident has been on the varsity team.
While he has a dream of playing pro, he has pursued his education equally aggressively.

He has plans to study pre-med, and has been dual enrolled at Lakeview taking Wayne State classes at Lakeview. He should have 12 credits when he starts college.
Schwarzwalder, who got a hole-in-one on the seventh hole at the in 2010, has hopes to qualify for states this year.
Lakeview golf coach Val Cimini praised Schwarzwalder as a great individual player and teammate.
"He has an excellent demeanor and is always on top of the game," said Cimini. "He is a team leader."
