• Reports: St. Clair Shores police broke up unruly crowd at charity car cruise (detroitnews.com) — Police dispersed a crowd of several hundred people during St. Clair Shores' annual charity car cruise Wednesday night, after reports of fights near Nino Salvaggio's on Harper. Videos posted in a local residents' Facebook group show officers confronting youth and arresting at least one person on a motorbike, while some residents criticized both parenting and police handling of the situation. 
• Dakota's cross country teams open with top 10 finishes at Benzie Invitational (macombdaily.com) — St. Clair Shores Lakeview's boys tennis team battled Macomb Dakota to a 4-4 draw, highlighted by strong doubles play from several Husky pairings. The wider roundup also covers Dakota's impressive cross country results at the Benzie Invitational and multiple boys soccer matches involving other Macomb and regional schools.
